GSync, google lo fa da se!

Google ha rilasciato da qualche giorno un servizio free di sincronizzazione push tra  Google Calendar e i calendari di questi telefoni:

Per vedere come configurare il vostro telefono (se è supportato) visitate dal vostro pc la pagina del servizio m.google.com/sync

Il servizio oltre i calendari sinconizza anche i contatti.

Inutile dire a questo punto l’inutilità del mio GSync 😦

Dopo aver risolto il bug segnalato da Marco sul’errato import delle date del calendario, ecco la nuova versione!

Ho anche deciso di distribuire a parte il language pack, visto che con il cabwizard ho dei problemi 😉
Quindi basterà scaricare il file zip e scompattarlo nella cartella del palamre dove risiede GSync.

After fixing the bug reported by Marco about the i time of the imported calendar, this is the new version!

I have also decided to distribute a separate language pack, I have problems with the cabwizard.
Then just download the zip file and unpack it in the folder where resides palamre GSync.

For now it is only English, Italian and Dutch(*)

GSync 0.3.0

La nuova versione di GSync porta delle novità oltre alla correzione di alcuni bug (non mancano mai!!).

Sono comparsi due nuovi tab, uno per l’import dei contatti (per ora solo da GMail verso pocket Outlook), e l’altro per la gestione dei filtri sugli eventi del calendario, ora è possibile fare ricerche dal calendario di Google.

Il tasto Import nel tab dei contatti importa tutti i contatti presenti nell’acount di GMail dentro la rubrica del pocket device. Se si modifica un contatto della rubrica di GMail e si ripete l’import automaticamente viene aggionato anche il cotatto sulla rubrica di outlook (questo funziona solo per i contatti importati e presenti nel gruppo GoogleImported).
Se di contro si vuole tenere disallineati due contatti basta rimuovere tale contatto dal suddetto gruppo.

Per la ricerca degli eventi si possono impostare i filtri per range di data e per ricerca testuale all’interno della descrizione dell’evento.

Fissato il bug segnalato da Tjex per quanto riguarda il luogo dell’evento e alcuni dei suggerimenti estetici di Walter, dico alcuni perchè ho ancora problemi con la cabwiz per quanto riguarda le lingue; spero di risolverli presto o di trovare un prodotto alternarnativo per genrare i cab; come sempre i suggerimenti sono ben accetti!!

The brings something new addition to correcting some bugs.

Appeared two new tab, one for Import Contacts (for now only from GMail to pocket Outlook), and the other for the management of the filters on the events calendar, it is now possible to search the timing of Google.

The button Import in the tab contacts, import all the contacts of GMail’s acount inside the pocket device. If you change a contact in GMail’s address book and repeats the import, automatically update the address book on outlook (this works only for contacts and imported in the group GoogleImported).
If you want to take against two misaligned enough to remove contacts from the contact group.

For the detection of events you can set up filters for range of data and research within the textual description.

Fixed the bug reported by Tjex regarding the location of the event and some suggestions for aesthetic Walter, I say because I still have some problems with the cabwiz regarding languages; I hope to resolve them soon or find a product alternarnativo for the genre cab, as always suggestions are welcome!

GSync 0.260

Bene dopo i suggerimenti di Walter e qualche bug in meno ecco una nuova versione del mio sincronizzatore di servizi Google (nome un pò pretenzioso, ma prima o poi ce la farò!!).
Vi pesento GSync 0.260

Vediamo cos’è cambiato:

  • Se si ha un solo calendario, questo diventa il calendario di default (dopo il primo caricamento)
  • Una volta selezionato un calendario di default viene visualizzato nella combo dei calendari anche senza dover ricaricare.
  • Ora l’allarme viene impostato come quello popup di Google, come suggerito da Walter.
  • Migliorata la messaggistica degli errori (ma non è mai troppo!!)

Bug corretti:

  • L’ora viene importata correttamente: Outlook vuole la data in UTC, Google utilizza  il localtime, quindi fate attenzione al fuso orario impostato sul calendario di Google.
    NB:il fuso del calendario è diverso da quello delle impostazioni.
  • Se l’utente non ha calendari o non ha mai acceduto a Google Calendar un allert invitata a farlo!!
  • Finalmente funziona la localizzazione della lingua italiana. (Maledetto cabwiz!!!)

Prossimi features: Ricerche con filtri, e una prima versione di import dei contatti!!

Well after the suggestions of Walter and a few bugs in less here is a new version of my synchronizer of Google services (name a little pretentious, but sooner or later I will do us!)
There pesento GSync 0,260

Let’s see what changed:

  • If you have a single calendar, this calendar becomes the default (after the first loading)
  • Once selected a calendar default appears in combo calendars without having to recharge.
  • Now the alarm is set like that pop Google, as suggested by Walter.
  • Improved messaging errors (but it is never too!)

Bug fixed:

  • Outlook wants the date on UTC, Google uses the localtime, so be careful to time zone set on the calendar of Google.
    NB: the local time of the calendar is different from that of settings.
  • If the user does not have calendars or has never acceded to Google Calendar a allert invited to do so!

Upcoming features: Searches with filters, and an initial version of import contacts!

Hello World!!

Oggi nasce la prima beta di GSync!!

GSync è uno strumento per windows mobile, che sincronizza l’agenda degli appuntamenti ed il calendario del tuo pocket pc con Google Calendar; in futuro probabilmente farà lo stesso con la rubrica di outlook e quella di GMail e forse anche con altri servizi.

L’applicazione è giovane ed è in working in progress quindi si accettano critiche suggerimenti e quantaltro 😉

Come funziona GSync? Come prima cosa è necessario fornire i dati del proprio account Google, poi una volta caricati i propri calendari da Google è possibile decidere quale calendario importare. Semplice no?!

Installazione: l’applicazione è distribuita come file .cab autoinstallante e necessita la presenza della versione 2.0 del .NET compact Framework (scaricabile gratuitamente dal sito della microsoft).
Una volta copiato il file .cab sul dispositivo basta cliccarlo per avviare l’installazione.

Today comes the first beta GSync!!

GSync is a tool for windows mobile, which synchronizes the schedule of events and timing of your pocket PC with Google Calendar, in the future probably will do the same with the heading outlook and that of GMail and perhaps also with other services.

The application is young and is working in progress then accept criticism and suggestions :()

How does GSync? First you must give details of their Google account, then once loaded their calendars to Google is possible to decide which calendar to import. Simple no?

Installation: The application is distributed as a file. Cab self and requires the presence of version 2.0 of. NET Compact Framework (free, downloadable from the site of microsoft).

Once copied the file. Cab on the device just click to start the installation.
